Welcome to The Bread Ladies!

First, what is Artisan? Simply bread produced in centuries old manner known as Boulangerie Artisanale - a stylized form of hand making breads without additives and only natural ingredients. The Bread Ladies have been practicing this form for 10 years and have developed a “Style” all their own.

Second, the Bread Ladies have developed a Deli Style lunch menu that is quick and healthy. No Additives, No Preservatives. Only fresh ingredients and quality meats are used. We also offer several Vegan & Vegetarian Options, as well as our signature Chicken Salad and line of breads & desserts.

We now carry Carruso Coffees! Thier rich flavors and full body tastes have proven to be quite a hit in town. With signature flavors and specail daily featured blends, we are excited about what we can offer next! Try a flavor shot or a espresso drink! If you get hooked we offer a sweet deal... A Rising Interest

Is it the aroma? The crisp crust? The hearty texture? Whatever the appeal, bread -- especially the fresh-baked artisan variety -- has shaken its bad reputation from the low-carb diet days and regained its popularity.

Indeed, retail sales of artisan breads have been on the rise, so to speak, and that growing consumer interest extends to home bakers as well. More than 10 new bread books will be released this year, including such titles as "The Weekend Baker" (W.W. Norton, $24.95) and "Bread Machine Easy" (Hamlyn, $17.95), books that speak to the continued appeal of fresh-baked bread despite consumers' hectic lives.

Good Evening Bread Ladies Devotee's!

This is my "official" Blog Site.

Drop the extra pounds has not gone so well for this little (not so ) diva.! Webmaster is kickn my butt!

I have not got any self control when it comes to our chocolate chip cookies and moca chocolate cupcakes.

We are trying to help me out and are introducing some new and improved salad options on the menu. Also, we are introducing 10 new summer specials. I hope to see you in soon to try them out.

Hope to launch the new menu in the next few days.

I have gotten an all clear for a little more impacting work out, so Health Club membership - I may yet use you afterall!

I am a member of hancock wellness center.. My daughter loves to go, and I have friends who are avid excersize enthusiasts.. I hope to have a little of that enthusiasm rub off. I just cant jump start into a workout at 5:30 am... I can bake at 5:30 am.. just not work out!

I am so looking forward to the summer! We have some plans for the outside, front & Back... and Pennsy Art Fair on June 26th looks to be the best fair ever!

ok - time for bed. 11:25 - but who watches the clock.

The Bread Ladies OvenSpace

Several updates have been made to the registered users area. When you log in, you will start at your own personal profile page. You will be able to post your own avitar and you will have a place to write your own blog entries. You will also be able to make connections with your friends and send them e-mail. There is even a "Wall" on each profile where you can leave comments in addition to a gallery space. I am also working on a way to link videos posted on You-Tube.

So look out.....we now have OvenSpace!

Membership Has It's Privileges

Become and Official Member of the Breadladies web site. This will give you access to Donna's blog where she has mentioned that she will publish "Members Only" coupons that you can print to use for your next visit. Or you might find an FAQ with the secret to the wonderful Herb Peasant Bread. We will also have a way to make class reservations online and are looking at several other enhancements (believe me...Donna gave me a huge list!).

Although we may e-mail you occasionally with events and class information, we promise not to give your e-mail address to anyone. I mean, after all, it is the Bread Ladies and ther don't serve SPAM at the restaurant....so they won't serve SPAM to your e-mail box either. I can, however, assure you that you will occasionally receive treats in your e-mail box.

Updates to the Website

Please bear with us as we update the website. At the mnoment, we are adding pages and information on a daily basis in an effort to move off of the old website format.

If you have a suggestion for something you would like to see on the website, please send us an e-mail. One astute reader already pointed out that I forgot to post the hours on the site (THANKS P.A.!!) and I have since corrected the problem. The site is based on a content management portal, so I will be adding a lot of features ....although, most will only be available to registered users . You can sign up here and all we ask is that you give us your name and e-mail address.

I just posted some information on the fine musicians who visit the Bread Ladies on Friday nights. Please see the Entertainers section for pictures, web site links and sometimes even audio clips.
